Latching On: Event 1 — Pregnancy, Lactation & the Fourth Trimester
Saturday, March 21 · Bon Studio, Williamsburg
Doors at 11:00am · Prompt start at 11:30am
The first months of motherhood are a lot. Beautiful, yes. But also disorienting, exhausting, and nothing like you expected. This morning is for that part.
Latching On is a four-part series this spring centered on the parts of motherhood that deserve more than a passing mention. The first latch. The first bite. The first time your toddler throws the meal you spent an hour making. Not the highlight reel. The actual experience.
Four mornings in a row. Good food. Honest conversation. A room full of women who are in it right now.
Event 1: Pregnancy, Lactation & the Fourth Trimester
What actually works, what no one warns you about, and how to feed your baby and yourself without losing your mind.
Our panel brings together Leah Tribus of The Lactation Network and Sophia Roe, chef, entrepreneur, and mom. TLN connects families with expert lactation consultants, while Sophia brings real, in-the-moment experience as she navigates breastfeeding with her eight-month-old daughter. Together, they’ll talk through the realities of feeding, support, and the questions every new mother ends up asking.
Then we cook.
A surprise guest chef joins Gina in the kitchen to focus on recipes designed to nourish mothers. Think nutrient-dense meals and snacks you’ll want waiting in your fridge when you’re running on empty.
Because learning how to feed yourself when you’re depleted is its own kind of survival skill, and it deserves to be delicious.
