How to Start a Conversation with Anyone
"You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. -Wayne Gretzky" - Michael Scott
There's this brief moment that comes up between thinking about approaching someone and actually doing it. That's where most of us freeze. And it's costing us connections we'll never know we missed. These could be friends, lovers, business partners, golf buddies or anything in between.
This workshop is about closing that gap.
As part of a greater series "From Waiting to Magnetic", this workshop is about "How to Start a Conversation with Anyone". It's a hands-on session designed to give you a simple, repeatable framework for initiating conversations in real life - at a bar, a coffee shop, a work event, a run club, anywhere. (Think of places you'd like to start a conversation at so we can discuss them!)
We'll cover the three most natural ways to open a conversation:
The Compliment: how to give one that lands without feeling forced
The Observation: using the moment you're in as your entry point
The Question: leading with genuine curiosity in a way that invites people in
And here's what makes this different: you'll actually practice. In a safe, low-stakes environment with real people who are there for the exact same reason. Because knowing the framework is one thing. Doing it is another.
What you'll walk away with:
A simple toolkit you can use the same night you leave
The confidence to make the first move without overthinking it
One commitment to put it into practice within the next 7 days
This isn't a lecture. It's a workshop - let's get to work.
