Women+ in LegalTech Chicago | Coffee & Conversation
Following our events in London, New York, Sydney and Paris, we’re bringing the Women+ in LegalTech community back to Chicago for an informal breakfast and coffee conversation. The breakfast will be hosted at The Marq in the Marquette Building, the heart of Chicago’s Loop, with coffee and a delicious breakfast spread to fuel the morning’s conversations.
Come by before your day starts to meet other women+ working across legal technology in Chicago, share what you’re working on, and exchange ideas and practical advice.
The morning will be informal and conversational, with plenty of space to connect, learn from each other and build relationships across the community.
The event is open to Women+ shaping legal technology across law firms and in-house teams - including those leading innovation, transformation and knowledge roles, those working in legal operations, and fee earners engaged with technology day-to-day to solve real problems.
The format
8:00–8:30 | Arrival, coffee & breakfast served
8:30–8:40 | Welcome & LegalTech keynote
A short keynote on developments in document automation and the wider legal technology landscape so far this year.
8:40–10:00 | Open problem-solving & networking
Rather than a formal panel, we’ll open the floor for shared problem-solving.
Bring a challenge, question or idea you’d like to explore with the group - or come ready to share what’s worked for you.
We’ll have a few suggested questions on the tables to get things started, but no set agenda. Whether it’s adoption, change management, getting buy-in or making the most of new technology, the aim is simple: share openly, help each other, and leave with some new ideas.
Why Women+?
Women+ remain underrepresented in LegalTech, and building a strong network within your own organisation isn’t always easy.
From our previous Women+ in LegalTech events, we’ve seen the value of creating a space where people can be open about the challenges they’re facing, share what they’ve learned, and support one another.
This breakfast is an opportunity to build that network in Chicago - meeting peers who understand your world, exchanging ideas and creating connections that continue beyond the morning.

Date: Wednesday 7 October
Time: 8:00–10:00am (event runs till 10:30 for travel buffer)
Location & getting there: The Marq Chicago is conveniently located in the Marquette Building at 60 W Adams St in the Loop, with easy access by CTA and Metra and within walking distance of many Chicago law firms.
Attendance is complimentary, with coffee and breakfast kindly sponsored by Avvoka.
Spaces are intentionally limited to keep the group small, relaxed and conversational. If you can no longer attend, please let us know so we can offer your place to someone else.
