Untangled Together
Untangled Together
A four-week virtual knitting circle for reflection, connection, and intentional change
Sometimes we already know the pattern. We recognize what isn’t working, understand where it may have come from, and even know what needs to change. But knowing and doing are not always the same thing.
Untangled Together is a therapist-led support and psychoeducation group where adults can slow down, work on a simple knitting project, and explore the space between awareness and meaningful change.
Each 60-minute Zoom gathering begins with a brief somatic-awareness exercise to help you settle in and notice what is happening internally. From there, we’ll explore one focused topic through psychoeducation, personal reflection, and optional group conversation.
Over four weeks, we’ll explore:
Awareness: Recognizing patterns without immediately judging yourself
Acceptance and accountability: Acknowledging what is true without turning responsibility into shame
Choice and change: Identifying the next intentional response available to you
Evidence and self-trust: Building confidence through small acts of follow-through
You’ll receive a follow-up email after each meeting with a recap, reflection questions, and an optional practice to try during the week. At the beginning of the next gathering, you’ll have an opportunity to briefly share what you noticed, learned, or implemented.
This is not a knitting class, and you do not need to be an advanced knitter. You simply need to be able to work independently on a basic, repetitive project while participating in the conversation. Sharing is always optional, and you may pass on any question or exercise.
Untangled Together is intentionally limited to 12 adults to create a small, grounded, and supportive experience.
Format: Four weekly Zoom meetings
Session length: 60 minutes
Group size: Maximum of 12 adults
Investment: $150 for the complete four-week cohort
Facilitator: Emily Brown, LPC
What to bring: A simple knitting project you can work on independently
Untangled Together is a nonclinical support and psychoeducation group. It is not psychotherapy, counseling, diagnosis, treatment, or crisis care, and participation does not establish a therapist-client relationship.
