🧪 BLOCKCHAIN ATTACK LAB 👩🏾‍💻

CyberCon Student Readiness Workshop

Marshall University | WAEC 1201 | March 23 | 4:00–5:00 PM

As part of Marshall University’s CyberCon Student Readiness Workshop, this featured technical session introduces students to real-world blockchain security threats and infrastructure risk modeling.

The Blockchain Attack Lab is a 60-minute interactive tabletop simulation designed to explore how modern distributed systems fail — and how security engineers respond.

Students will examine:

• Threat modeling in decentralized systems

• Protocol vulnerabilities in smart contract environments

• Bridge, DAO, and DeFi exploit case studies

• Mitigation frameworks and response strategy

Rather than focusing on price or speculation, this lab centers on infrastructure security, systems thinking, and workforce pathways in blockchain and high-performance compute environments.

This session aligns with CyberCon’s theme, Mission Ready in a Converged World, equipping students to think critically about emerging attack surfaces across financial and digital infrastructure.
