July 1, 2026 Delphi Cocktails - Delphi @The ANDAZ
Dear Delphites,
After May’s buzzing event, we gather in July to celebrate mid-summer and prepare for the next six months of the year. Consider this event your Shinto purification ritual (which actually falls on June 30) allowing you to stride pure and refreshed into the second half of the year!
Throw out your acrylics, burn your nylons, consign wool to the winter cupboards and be inspired by Japanese summer fashion traditions: bare feet, wooden clogs, elegant fans, and conical hats (kasa) which you can sprinkle with cooling water…on your bodies, use hemp and ramie clothing (these are slightly stiff and keep the material away from the body) or if you are an aristocrat (not sure anybody is, but still…), ultra thin silk, specially woven to create gaps to catch the breeze in its openings. Just bear in mind it’s transparent!
Satsuma kasuri should be ok for the non-nobility, also very thin but in cotton from the specialists in Satsusma-ken. Obviously, it should be dyed indigo, a colour which mosquitoes abhor!
Whatever you choose, we look forward to a gorgeous and gaudy exhibition of good taste and glamour.
The Delphi Standard: A Unified Format To ensure a seamless experience and maintain our residency at this premier venue, we have moved to a Unified Entry & Beverage Package. To eliminate the friction of individual tabs and service delays, all attendees now participate in an all-inclusive 90-minute free-flow package. This allows the conversation to flow as freely as the wine, keeping our focus entirely on high-level networking.
