BRONX: Randall's Island Bird Walk with that quirky bird girl
Kicking Off November Strong: My First-Ever Bronx Bird Walk! ✨✨
I’m so excited to announce my first-ever bird tour in the Bronx — and we’re heading to one of my favorite bird spots: Randall’s Island! This is one of the very first places I went chirpchasing after moving to nyc, and it’s still one of the best places to see a mix of city and nature collide, imo.
This walk isn’t just about spotting birds (though trust me, we’ll find plenty). It’s about creating space for connection — with nature, with each other, and with ourselves. Expect a mix of fun bird facts, goofy impressions, and stellar (fun) learning opportunities.
✨ What to Expect
🌿 A walk around Randall’s Island’s scenic loop — we’ll explore the shoreline and wetlands that make this area such a hidden gem.
🦆 Chances to spot mute swans, belted kingfishers, wood ducks, American herring gulls, northern shovelers, and if we’re lucky… maybe even a bufflehead!
💬 Community-focused conversations where curiosity and kindness are the only requirement.
💛 A safe, joyful (neurodivergent af) space to learn, share, and celebrate the season with fellow Chirpers.
🕒 Timeline
3:00 PM — Meet-up & intros
3:10 PM — Walk begins
Once we start, my phone goes away because the birds deserve our full attention 💛. If you’re late, you might have to track us down in the park!
