Debating Evening

​​On Tuesday 31st of March, we want to do the first EA debating evening of this semester together in the library. It is nothing formal, just a fun way to explore questions together.

​​We’ll start by choosing a few controversial / tricky topics related to Effective Altruism. For each topic, we’ll roughly sketch a pro and con side, and then:

• ​​form groups to take each side

• ​​give everyone a bit of time to think up arguments

• ​​have a few short debate rounds, and afterwards share opinions/ further information

​​You don’t need any debating experience, it is mainly about thinking together.

​​We'll bring some snacks, sit together, and just talk as a group about anything else that’s on your mind as we head into the holidays.
