By the time we reach midlife, we have lived enough to know that life rarely unfolds the way we thought it would.
We’ve made choices and changed our minds. Built things and walked away from things. Loved, lost, succeeded, failed, started again. We know ourselves in ways we couldn’t when we were younger.
And still, there is so much life ahead of us.
LUMINOUS is a celebration of this extraordinary place in a woman’s life.
A place where experience meets possibility. Where we get to bring everything we’ve learned with us while asking bigger questions about what comes next.
On November 6, we’re bringing together a room full of women for an evening of deep conversation, meaningful connection, incredible food, music and dancing.
We’ll explore what experience has taught us. The choices we’re ready to make. The parts of ourselves we want to reclaim, express and expand. And how we want to use our lives, our voices, our wisdom and our power in the years ahead.
The women around us matter. We expand each other’s sense of what’s possible simply by sharing how we’re living, what we’re choosing and what we’re creating. LUMINOUS is a room for that.
There is so much still to experience, create, contribute and enjoy. And we get to decide where we go from here.
And then we’ll raise a glass, turn up the music and celebrate being right here.

LUMINOUS CONVERSATIONS | 5–7 PM
We’ll begin the evening with two intimate conversations exploring wisdom, purpose and possibility in midlife.
For the first conversation, I’ll be on the other side of the interview, sitting down with a dear friend to share more of my story than I ever have publicly.
Not just the milestones, but the story behind them. The choices I made and the ones life made for me. Love, loss, ambition, motherhood, entrepreneurship, starting again - and the experiences I can only now understand differently because I have enough distance to see them more fully.
While the details of our stories are different, I believe there is something important about owning the lives we have actually lived - and recognizing how everything we’ve been through has shaped who we are, what we know and what we choose from here.
For our second conversation, I’ll be joined by Nina Taylor and Nancy Trites Botkin, two women who have been important expanders in my own life and who embody the spirit of LUMINOUS.
Nina Taylor has spent more than 30 years exploring the thresholds that shape a woman’s life, weaving together astrology, archetypal wisdom and deep inquiry to help women understand their own inner architecture and live from a place of greater self-knowledge and authority.
Nancy Trites Botkin is the founder of Think8Women and a former television and film writer, director and producer whose work is rooted in purpose - helping women uncover what they are uniquely here to contribute and bring that purpose more fully into their lives and work.
Together, we’ll explore the possibility of midlife - and what can open up when we see this stage of our lives differently.
These won't be presentations or polished panels. They’ll be real conversations about what we’ve learned through living, the choices and turning points that have changed us, and what we understand now that we couldn’t have understood earlier in our lives.
We’ll also create space for you to meet and connect with some of the women in the room before we move into the celebration.
AND THEN, WE CELEBRATE | 7 PM ONWARD
At 7 PM, the room shifts.
More women arrive. The food and drinks start flowing, the music comes up, and the evening opens into connection, celebration and dancing.
Expect a generous spread of food throughout the evening from the Waterworks Food Hall, featuring dishes from its hand-selected collection of chefs and artisans, alongside drinks, live music, dancing and a few surprises along the way.
There will be plenty to make a dinner of it, and all food plus two drinks are included with your ticket.
Because LUMINOUS isn't only about reflecting on our lives.
It's about being fully alive in them.

A SPECIAL EARLY BIRD EXPERIENCE AT JAYBIRD | OCTOBER 24
A limited number of Early Bird ticket holders will be invited to join us on Saturday, October 24 at 1:30 PM for a complimentary Supernova class at Jaybird’s beautiful new Midtown Toronto location.
We’ll gather for an hour of movement, music and connection - and a chance to meet some of the women you’ll be sharing the room with at LUMINOUS before the big night.
Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis to Early Bird ticket holders.
LUMINOUS CIRCLE | FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 13
One week after LUMINOUS, I’ll host a virtual LUMINOUS Circle and Q&A for our guests.
We'll come back together to continue the conversation, share what we've been thinking about since LUMINOUS, and explore where we want to go from here.

LUMINOUS is created and hosted by Kena Paranjape, founder of Supernova — a community and growing movement bringing women in midlife together to imagine, create and actively shape what comes next.
Supernova is built on a simple belief: this stage of life holds enormous potential. That the wisdom and experience we’ve earned matter. That our lives can continue to expand in ways we may not yet be able to see. And that being surrounded by other women who are asking bigger questions, making bold choices and creating lives that feel more like their own changes what we believe is possible for ourselves, too.

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. If you are no longer able to attend, you may transfer your ticket to another person. Please contact us in advance so we can update the guest list.
If LUMINOUS is cancelled by the organizer, ticket holders will receive a refund.
