Danae is the Edinburgh Napier graduate building innovative tech to make society fairer. After helping build one of Scotland's early tech success stories at FreeAgent, she's now Founder and CEO of Edinburgh-based Valla (an Ada Fund II company), leading the charge to build an AI legal startup that makes intelligent legal tools for everyone. A developer turned marketer turned CEO, Danae has scaled Valla to support over 20,000 cases and growing fast, and advises The Law Society of Scotland on their LawScotTech board.
Edinburgh-based Grant and Angus are building Aegiss (an Ada Fund II company) to help multinational companies instantly verify compliance with local tax and accounting rules across different countries. The duo are experienced startup operators, having scaled Beezer from zero to 12,000 users and joined Settld's founding team to drive its turnaround to exit.
Michael has been investing in startups for nearly a decade, both as a VC and angel investor. Prior to Ada Ventures, Michael was CFO at a fintech startup as it scaled from seed to Series A, working alongside the cofounders across operations, product, and fundraising. A self-taught programmer and Oxford MBA, Michael is energised by technical founders who are obsessed with what technology can bring to the world.
Andrew leads PXN Group’s operational activity and fund strategies and is a member of several investment committees. PXN Group is an award-winning, Northern-focused venture investor with over £700m+ in assets under management and more than 120 portfolio companies across Scotland, North of England and Northern Ireland. Formed through the merger of Praetura Ventures and Par Equity, PXN backs ambitious early-stage and growth businesses from over eight different funds. With offices in Manchester, Edinburgh, Leeds and London, PXN wants to build the Northern economy.
