About Event

The emotional toll of animal advocacy is real. If you’ve felt the weight of burnout, anxiety, or compassion fatigue, this retreat is for you.

Join us for a cost-free, virtual 2-day meditation retreat (November 22–23) created specifically to help activists and changemakers transform their emotional load into sustainable fuel for lifelong advocacy.

Led by an experienced Buddhist monk and designed by fellow animal advocates, we will explore secular mindfulness in a welcoming, non-sectarian space. This retreat is accessible to beginners and seasoned practitioners alike—all you need is a reliable internet connection and a commitment to your well-being.

What You Will Gain: The Tools for Emotional Agency

Across six guided sessions, you will learn practical skills to prevent exhaustion and sustain your mission:

  • Managing Emotions: Learn to acknowledge, process, and release the heavy emotions of advocacy (grief, anger, and frustration) so they don't get "stuck" and lead to burnout.

  • Clarity and Compassion: Receive practical guidance to cultivate inner clarity, allowing you to respond thoughtfully to crises instead of reacting out of exhaustion.

  • Balance of Practice and Connection: The schedule alternates between deep, quiet practice and thoughtful group sharing spaces, nurturing both personal well-being and collective resilience.

  • Free and Accessible: This retreat is offered completely cost-free thanks to the generosity of Mobius Life and The Pollination Project.
