The Pause Collective - Session 6
The Pause Collective: The Power of Gratitude
In this session, Sarah Vick will explore the power of gratitude journaling and how noticing the small, everyday things can genuinely shift your outlook on life.
When we take even a few moments each day to reflect on what we’re grateful for, something begins to change. Our attention softens, our perspective widens and we start to see the quiet goodness threaded through our ordinary days. Gratitude doesn’t ignore life’s challenges, it helps us meet them with a steadier heart.
Together, we’ll explore how a simple journaling practice can support greater happiness, resilience and presence and how to make it a habit that truly sticks.
This session blends conversation, reflection and gentle guidance to help you begin or deepen your gratitude journaling practice.
We’ll cover:
The science and psychology behind gratitude and its impact on wellbeing
Simple ways to begin a daily journaling habit, even if you’re short on time
How to keep your practice meaningful, not mechanical
Prompts and reflections to help you notice the small things that matter most
There will also be space to share insights, experiences and personal approaches in an open and supportive discussion.
This session is for anyone curious about journaling, mindfulness or exploring gratitude as a tool for wellbeing.
In a world that moves quickly, gratitude journaling invites us to pause, to notice what’s working, what’s beautiful and what deserves appreciation. Over time, this simple act of noticing can shift how we feel, think and connect with others.
Whether you’re looking to lift your mood, feel more grounded, or simply create a moment of calm in your day, this session will give you practical tools and gentle inspiration to start.
No prior experience needed, just bring yourself.
