Inside GPT‑Live‑1: Building Voice Agents with EliseAI and OpenAI
EliseAI already builds voice agents for complex healthcare workflows. What changes when a full-duplex model can listen while it speaks and handle interruptions as they happen?
OpenAI recently launched GPT‑Live‑1 in the API. In the months leading up to launch, EliseAI worked with OpenAI as an early design partner, testing the model in healthcare and housing workflows and sharing feedback from real calls.
Join Peter Bakkum, engineering lead for GPT‑Live‑1 @ OpenAI, Tony Stoyanov, CTO & Co-founder @ EliseAI, and Bohan Li, Staff Software Engineer @ EliseAI, for a panel moderated by EliseAI product leader Shruti Goli. They’ll share how they tested GPT‑Live‑1 within EliseAI’s existing voice AI systems and what they learned about pauses, interruptions, and delegating harder tasks to a backend agent. They’ll also discuss the practical challenges of latency, background noise, reliability, and complex workflows.
After the panel, stay for an open Q&A, drinks, and conversation with engineers, researchers, PMs, and others building voice AI.
