The Art of Sharing
Join us for the Season of Doing Good - a series of meaningful, hands-on volunteering drives powered by Humans of Volunteering.
Every week, we collaborate with local nonprofits to bring simple, high-impact activities where volunteers can show up, give back, and experience the joy of doing good - together.
Whether you're a first-time volunteer or a regular changemaker, these drives are designed to be friendly, accessible, and full of heart.
This week, we’re joining hands with Saday Sadev for The Art of Sharing: Giving Without Burning Out, a much-needed community-led drive focused on mental health & well being.
The drive aims to create a safe, reflective, and participatory wellbeing space for individuals working or volunteering in the impact sector. It reframes wellbeing not as an individual luxury, but as a collective responsibility and a form of service. Through guided discussions, shared reflections, and journaling, participants are encouraged to reconnect with their motivations and build sustainable practices that support long-term engagement in impact work.
Event Flow:
Opening grounding and wellbeing check-in
Guided reflection on volunteering and emotional labour
Small-group sharing on giving, cost, and sustainability
Volunteer story circle (sharing lived experiences of service)
Short guided pause for regulation and rest
Activity-based creation of a personal wellbeing journal
Collective contribution: one-line reflections for a shared resource
Closing reflection and takeaways for continued self-careInstructions for Volunteers:
Participants are requested to keep basic stationery (notebook/diary, pen) and a comfortable seating setup for reflection activities. Wear something Pink when you join the call!
