Let's kick-off the the weekend by getting outside, meeting up with friends, and getting our bodies moving!
We'll be doing the short hike along the East Observatory Trail with great views and good chats along the way (1.8 miles, ~1 hour hiking, sunny trail, moderate elevation).
After the hike, we'll hangout, enjoy some cool drinks and get to know each other. Every hike we have a short ~20-minute discussion, this month's topic is data centers! Come with an open mind and ready to learn and share — no need to be an expert of have any prior knowledge.
🥾 Meet Our Hike Lead: Aria
Aria Middleman is a Philadelphia native who moved to Los Angeles in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic. In an effort to get outside during lockdown, Aria began visiting California’s National Parks, and she now leads hikes in the greater Los Angeles area, as well as participates in environment-first local activism.
🚨 What To Know
🥾 Where To Meet: Meet at 9:30 at the Trails Cafe (Fern Dell Dr), we will begin hiking promptly at 9:45!
🚙 Where to Park: There is a free lot past the Trails Cafe and some street parking along Fern Dell Drive.
🌞 Where to bring: Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, a hat — it will be hot. The trail is not very shady, come prepared!
