No experience is required. This is an introductory class to Yoga of the Voice is an invitation to simply be in the joy of discovering your Voice . Whether its your first time and you are curious about how to brings your Voice through... or you are a seasoned singer looking to discover a healing approach to your vocal embodiment.
We have a special guest this class. Introducing Johanna Beekman! Johanna Beekman is an internationally acclaimed singer/songwriter, chant/kirtan artist, yoga teacher, vocal teacher, recording artist, and event producer.
Johanna is loved for her rich, soulful voice, her radiant spirit, and her inspiring songs and chants that tap deeply into our collective soul. She sings and teaches at leading festivals, studios, churches, and other live and online venues. Her songs have been nominated for several music awards and best-of-the-year playlists. In 2022 Johanna became a voting member of the Grammy Recording Academy.
Johanna incorporates her music into her uniquely restorative Lullaby Yoga classes and her Free Your Soul’s Voice Playshops. Her highly praised Mantra Sangha video brings together artists from all around the globe to support the education of Nepali children. Johanna also produces and co-produces several yoga and conscious music festivals to celebrate our shared humanity.

About your Host - Priya Deepika:
Priya is the daughter of immigrant parents from Andhra Pradesh, South India. Priya is steeped in her cultural and spiritual lineage of her ancestors and has paved her own path of service, devotion and creativity. After a career in Human Rights Immigration law, Priya shifted her focus into the healing arts. She comes to you as a Yogi, Vocal Embodiment Coach and Mediator, choosing Yoga and Music as her modalities of bringing relief, joy and light to the world. She is a trained and certified Yoga of the Voice instructor for 10 years and trained and certified Sound Healer for 17 years. Priya has been on the Yoga path for over 25 years. She is 200RYT (registered yoga teacher) and recently completed her 500 hr yoga teacher training. Priya released her first album Hear in My Heart in 2019, of which "I Am Divine" has defined her sound of devotional healing music for meditation and yoga.
