Protest Pret's frankenchicken: Chancery Lane
Come help us spread the word about Pret's continued use of frankenchicken. No experience required, anyone can do this!
We will be standing outside Pret, handing out leaflets, and informing the public about Pret’s broken animal welfare commitments and refusal to change.
Approximate schedule:
17:45 - Meet at Philip Twells Memorial Fountain
17:45 - Pret A Manger, 83 Chancery Lane, London, WC2A 1DD, UK
18:15 - Pret A Manger, 110 Fetter Lane, London, EC4A 1ES, UK
Why are we asking people to take a break from Pret?
Pret made a public promise to stop using frankenchickens. Their 2026 deadline is here, and 100% of the chicken in their food is still frankenchicken. Frankenchickens are the industry's fastest-growing breeds of chicken, bred to pile on weight so fast that many can barely walk by five or six weeks old, their hearts and legs giving out under their own size. Pret committed to phase them out eight years ago but are sitting on their hands. So we're outside Pret, telling their customers what Pret won't.
