La Sobremesa Presents: Joy as a Career Conductor with Christine Osazuwa & The Greek Pot Supper Club
Our next event will be on Friday 5th December. Join us for an evening of delicious Greek food, live music, and our very special guest Christine Osazuwa, who will be leading a conversation on Joy as a Career Conductor, through her rich experiences in Music, Tech and beyond. Christine booked her first show at 15 and spent most of her adolescence deeply entrenched in the music industry from running street teams, to booking shows, and making a music documentary. She combined all her passions into roles consulting and working with various music startups, venues, festivals, radio stations and labels bridging the gap between music, tech & business.
Originally from Baltimore, Christine spent two years in Stockholm as Head of Data & Insights for Universal Music Sweden before calling London home and working as the Global Marketing Director for Data & Insights at Warner Music Group. There, she helped develop WMG's global artist priorities. She was also the UK Director of shesaid.so, serving the global community of women, gender minorities, and allies in the music industry. Currently, she’s the founder of Measure of Music–part community, part conference, part hackathon–to introduce others to the world of music & data while highlighting majority minority attendees and speakers. Over three years, the event has brought together 6,000+ registrants representing 95+ countries to network, learn, and create hands-on data-driven projects to present to an audience of peers and tech/music industry execs..
On food duties for the evening, Theo and Pan from The Greek Pot, will be creating a special traditional Greek supper menu. Expect small platters, appetizers and a delicious main course, bringing the warmth and buzz of a Greek urban tavern to London. The Greek Pot is a small, independent business based in Bermondsey. They trade at Maltby Street Market, serving their community with fresh, authentic Greek food.
