IGNATIAN TRIDUUM:

"IN ALL THINGS, TO LOVE AND TO SERVE."

Looking at the global situation today, our world is searching for peace—both within and around us. Yet, as we look forward to the promise of Christ in the gift of the Holy Spirit, we are invited not to remain passive, but to prepare ourselves. It is in this spirit that I propose a triduum for young people themed: “In all things, to Love and to Serve.” This will be a space to rediscover a post-Easter way of living—grounded, aware, and ready for Pentecost.

1. The Principle and Foundation (SpEx 23)

On the first day, we begin with the foundation of our lives. We reflect on the truth that we are created to praise, reverence, and serve God. This helps us situate ourselves—who we are, where we are, and what we are living for. It answers a very real question for our generation: What is the blueprint of your life? From here, we begin to find clarity, direction, and the beginning of true peace.

2. “What have I done for Christ?” (SpEx 53)

Having grounded ourselves, the second day invites us to look at our lives honestly. In the light of the Risen Lord, we ask: What have I done for Christ? What am I doing? What will I do? These are not just spiritual questions—they are life questions. They help us see that our actions matter, and they invite us to respond. The question becomes: What more can I do for Christ, my Rock, who walks with me and sends His Spirit?

3. Contemplation to Attain Love (SpEx 230–237)

By the third day, we recognize that everything we have is gift—our lives, our faith, the Resurrection, and the promise of the Holy Spirit. We begin to see ourselves as temples of the Spirit. And so, we are invited to respond in love, offering ourselves fully to God. This is where we learn not just to receive, but to give—to truly live a life that loves and serves.
