About Event

About Event

Venture studios are becoming a more and more central pillar of the innovation and venture ecosystem. Some cohorts of venture studios have shown to be capable of delivering roughly 2x the IRR of traditional benchmarks and ~33% faster exits.

AI is also transforming the rate at which these startup factories are spinning out companies, giving them the ability to test and validate a much higher number of bets compared to just a few years ago. And now, a much higher rate of studios are launching investment vehicles to capitalize further on their success.

The Global Venture Studio Innovation Half Day is a live online mini-conference exploring the latest trends and insights into the venture studio and venture studio fund, where LPs and operators can participate; and where the ecosystem is going next.

What will be covered:

  • The basics of venture studio operations and venture studio investment funds

  • The venture studio global state of play and latest trends

  • The LP case for venture studios as a stronger bet within early-stage venture

  • Co-investing and diligence-sharing between traditional VCs and venture studios

  • How founder-operators are using the studio model to launch companies that outperform solo-founder benchmarks

  • The influence of AI in the Venture Studio sector

  • Where the studio ecosystem is heading, from the people building it

Who should attend:

  • Emerging GPs and venture studio founders, from those just starting out to those with a decade of operating history.

  • Traditional VC funds interested in co-investing with studios. Operators, ex-founders, and domain experts weighing whether to become a studio founder, LP, or advisor.

  • LPs considering a first allocation to venture studios (family offices, strategic-operator LPs, high-net-worth investors)

Confirmed speakers

  • Shabab Saad — CEO & Co‑Founder, CarboMat; UCalgary spin‑out turning asphaltene waste into carbon fiber and battery materials; Shahab is a founder bringing the founder's perspective exploring the venture studio route to commercialize deep‑tech technology.
