Team Tune-Up: Bring Your Authentic Self to Work
You have questions, we have (at least some) answers. Join us for Team Tune-up to ask any people/HR questions that are top of mind for you or your organization.
🗣️ This month:
Team Tune-up is back for the first time in 2025 and we’re finding ourselves thinking about the phrase, “Bring your whole self to work.” To be honest, we don’t love it. Work is one aspect of our lives, it doesn’t necessarily deserve your whole self. But, you deserve your authentic self all-day-every-day. Join us to tease out the difference, and discuss ways to nurture a workplace where individuals can always be their authentic selves.
Our Team Tune-up calls are an opportunity to discuss what’s on your mind with experienced PeopleOps experts and like-minded business leaders. If you don’t have questions, come listen in and see what you pick up. All are welcome!
⁉️ What to expect:
Sessions happen monthly. They sometimes fall closer to the beginning or end of the month, but always on a Friday. Each 45-minute session will have a main topic (this time, authentic selves at work!).
You can submit questions ahead of time or ask them during the session. As time allows, we’ll open up the space to questions unrelated to that topic - whatever is top of mind for you! We’ll give our thoughts and invite the group to share their ideas and recommendations as well. After the session, we’ll follow up with some resources, ask for feedback, and send a link to sign up for the next call.
🎧 New in 2025:
We'll be recording these sessions, but we won't share the recording directly or in full. Instead, we plan to pull some clips into a podcast to make the conversation more accessible. If you don’t want your voice/opinions to be included in the podcast, just let us know during or shortly after the call! For any clips we do plan to include, we’ll ask how you’d like to be credited before adding them to the podcast.
🙋🏻 Who are we?
Team Tune-Up is hosted on a rotating basis by Claire Baker (of Back Office MVP), AnnE Diemer (of aedHR), Krista Lane (of Headwaters HR) and Tali Ramo (of Organize to Optimize). Our passions and experiences differ but we share overlap in People and Operational work.
🤨 Who should join?
Fundamentally, this is about inclusion - so we think this conversation is for everyone! But especially...
✅ HR leaders who write and enforce policies
✅ Employees who want to create inclusive workplaces
✅ Managers who want to support their direct reports
✅ Leaders who prioritize caring for their teams as humans, not just workers
✅ Union organizers who want to advocate for workplace changes to protect all employees
