Why We Believe
our faith isn’t so fragile that it can’t handle a few tough questions. let’s have an a honest conversation about what you actually got yourself into when you chose Jesus, or if you are considering Him.
this isn’t sunday best, this isn’t christianese, this isn’t very pretty (though the poster is cute). this is raw and uncut. a place where you’re not expected to come with the right thing to say. i want you to let down your shoulders and not feel like you can’t say certain things because you’re a “Christian”.
I got the idea for this from a series of unlinked conversations with friends as we shared our wrestle with life & faith. the most liberating part was that we didn’t always leave with a solution or an “it is well”, but we left with a laugh, or a sigh, or a hug because the plan is to do it (life) together and meet again, not to pretend we can fix what we don’t understand in each others’ lives.
in this gathering we hope to…
→ create a safe & unfiltered space to uncover any unanswered questions together, real time
→ challenge where culture has seeped into daily faith
→ liberate the believer’s mind to understand that questions are maturity, not rebellion
→ learn about having an independent faith/belief that’s dependent on one another (we’ll get into this)
and so much more but it’s a journey, not a quick fix!
if you don’t think this is for you, it probably might be. please tell someone you feel is in this headspace or that you’ve had similar conversations with.
