Floor Mobility (floor barre)
Ever wondered why dancers never seem to age and move gracefully, even in their old age?
This is one of their best-kept secrets.
Floor mobility is a body practice inspired by the Russian “floor barre” method, a ballet training technique done entirely on the floor to refine alignment, control, and strength without strain.
Dancers use floor barre to build the foundation of their movement: by removing gravity, they isolate and awaken the deep stabilizing muscles, the ones that sit closer to the bone and hold the body together. Strengthening these muscles improves posture, balance, and coordination, and over time creates a lean, resilient body built for longevity.
This session adapts the original Russian method for everyone: no dance background needed.
Expect a surprisingly challenging full-body workout that alternates stretches with strength exercises.
