Dying Fabrics With Mushrooms

​Let's dye with the mushrooms we grew 🍄

​Second part of the oyster mushroom session. The beds are ready, the fungi are harvested, and now they go into the pot. The workshop is a hands-on intro to natural textile dyeing: we extract a dye bath from grey oyster mushrooms, treat cotton or linen with a quick tannin soak, and pull out a warm tan color. No special equipment, no toxic chemicals. The raw material grew in the garden two weeks ago.
