About Event

​Join us for a rewarding 9.7 km loop through Sooke Hills Wilderness Regional Park, a lush forested hike that blends peaceful creekside trails with steady elevation and scenic viewpoints .

​The hike begins at the Sooke Hills Wilderness Regional Park Reserve South Trailhead, following the Pleasant Path before connecting to Veitch Creek Trail and looping back via John Hasell and Shepherd Creek.

​ The second half of the trail includes noticeable elevation gain and opens up to some beautiful viewpoints once past the John Hasell section. The route is best enjoyed counterclockwise, as recommended by hikers.

​Expect forest terrain, creek crossings, steady climbs, and moments to pause, connect, and take it all in.
