Brave Boards provides a structured, high-impact forum for board members to refine their approach, share key insights, and collaborate on solutions to drive portfolio success.
JANUARY:
1) Bring your startup's annual budget, and talk through any issues or concerns you have. Be prepared to share your screen on the forecasted budget, and your points of feedback.
2) We'll focus on how to support our founders through the biggest challenges and opportunities revealed on their 2026 plans.
How It Works
Meets 10 times per year – excluding December and July.
Participation Requirements:
• Mandatory for first-year Valor board members.
• Mandatory for board members of a new investment (year one of Valor’s journey).
• Optional for experienced Valor board members beyond year one.
Meeting Structure
Each board member will provide a 5-minute update covering:
1. The latest board update posted to Vic.
2. Their biggest contribution to the startup in the past month.
3. Their biggest concern about lifting the startup’s trajectory.
The group will prioritize the key challenges presented in real-time, selecting the top three most urgent issues for workshopping. These discussions will provide immediate insights, actionable solutions, and collective learning to strengthen board leadership across Valor’s portfolio.
