Over to You: Practice Presenting Without Pressure
If speaking in front of an audience is as attractive as standing in a crowded Bakerloo line during a UK heatwave, this is the event for you.
Got a career-building presentation coming up?
Job interview panel to impress?
Wedding speech to wow with?
Fancy giving a talk to boost your personal brand? But a fear of public speaking holding you back? We got you.
Most of us don’t get an opportunity to train speaking-in-public muscles before we’re dropped in at the deep end, adrenalin spiking, palms sweating, voice squeaking. This session exists to build those speaking muscles, in front of a small, friendly, zero-judgement audience.
Rules for Over to You: we keep it simple – and fun!
All In It Together: Everyone in the room speaks. Zero judgement.
Subject: Anything you’re passionate about
Design: For clicker practice an optional 3 slides standardised format, you drop in a headline, bullet points + one image per slide (no notes)
Time limit: Talk for a minimum of 90 seconds, maximum of 3 minutes. Sit back down. That’s it.
Low stakes, no pressure.
Nobody is critiquing your delivery.
Nobody is offering ‘helpful’ improvement advice.
No one is there because they’re good at it already.
Everyone is training the same feel-the-fear speaking muscles.
Maybe you're early in your career and haven't had a chance to present yet. Maybe it's been a while, and you need a boost to get back to your best. Maybe you just need somewhere to start.
Whatever brought you here, the goal is the same: the more you practice without pressure, the less presenting will feel like a big deal.
