Dinner en White Coat
Presented by uCity Square in partnership with the Monell Chemical Senses Center
Join us for the 3rd annual Dinner en White Coat, an evening of exceptional food, engaging conversation, and the fascinating science of taste and smell at uCity Square. Gather under the stars with our partners at the Monell Chemical Senses Center for a unique dining experience celebrating how our senses shape the foods we love.
Dinner en White Coat is designed to bring scientists together. The evening is built around genuine scientific exchange, researchers connecting with researchers across institutions and disciplines, and the featured talk will be presented at a scientific level, for an audience of peers.
We're especially proud that this year's evening centers on one of our own. The three-course menu is inspired by Rediscovering Flavor: A Practical Guide to Smell Loss, the newly released book by Monell alumnus and Affiliated Scientist Dr. Robert Pellegrino, now Assistant Professor of Sensory Science at Texas A&M University. Grounded in the latest chemosensory research, Dr. Pellegrino's recipes are designed to help people experiencing smell loss rediscover flavor, and the joy of eating. He'll join us as our featured speaker to share the science and the stories behind the book.
Throughout the evening, you'll have the opportunity to meet Monell scientists, connect with other members of our vibrant Knowledge Community, and explore the science behind flavor through an interactive culinary experience.
Dinner en White Coat is free to attend. To ensure seats are fully utilized, we ask that you reserve a ticket only if you are confident you can join us. Approximately 90% of tickets are reserved for scientists, with the remaining 10% available to community members and guests.
If your plans change, please cancel your reservation so someone on the waitlist can attend.
Come hungry for great food, inspired conversation, and a deeper appreciation of the science behind every bite.
