About Event

We will examine how to move away from a fear-based mindset that defines success by your status, your stats, and the status quo — and lean into a practice of success that aligns with who you truly are.

Our framework for a new definition of success will be based on this Maya Angelou quote:

“Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.”

Participants will be guided through unpacking their beliefs about success, how they came to them, and how they can shift the paradigm for themselves and the next generation.

This will be a 60-minute workshop with interactive questions and activities. Participants can follow along with a printable workbook.

About the Hosts:
Iris Chen is an American-born Chinese author, speaker, and founder of Untigering, a movement that explores life and parenting at the intersection of Asian and American identities. After spending sixteen years in China teaching English, Iris began her journey of transformation—from a self-described tiger mother to a peaceful parenting advocate and unschooling mom.

Through Untigering, she shares her reflections on unlearning authoritarian patterns, embracing compassion, and redefining success beyond achievement. Iris invites others to join her in creating homes and communities grounded in respect, connection, and authenticity.
