The Male EA Network; Same Desk, Different Lens
Join us at Hotel Café Royal for the Male EA Network’s first community-led event: an evening of conversation, shared experiences and networking for the wider EA and PA profession, with complimentary food and drinks throughout.
Created by eavolve, and delivered in collaboration with Broadvent and 8th Floor, Same Desk, Different Lens explores the male experience of executive support, the changing role of the EA, and what we can learn when different perspectives come together.
Food, drinks and a chance to connect
Enjoy a complimentary welcome drink and canapés on arrival, house beer, wine and soft drinks throughout the evening, and bowl food after the panel. Come for the conversation and stay for food, drinks and a chance to get to know others in the profession.
The panel
Shirwyn Weber, Leeanne Graham and David Cobbald will join host and moderator Aarron McGurk for an interactive, scenario-led discussion covering:
Managing up, power and influence: challenging decisions, setting boundaries and supporting the person at the top.
AI and the changing profession: how technology is reshaping executive support, and where human judgement adds value.
Gender, confidence and career growth: how expectations and recognition can differ, and what those experiences reveal about the profession.
Expect real workplace examples, different viewpoints and space to contribute your own questions and experiences.
Who is it for?
EAs, PAs and executive support professionals of all genders. Male experience is the starting point, with shared learning for the wider profession at the heart of the evening.
This is a pilot event. We want to hear what resonates, challenge assumptions and use the discussion to help shape what the community does next.
The evening
17:30: arrival, welcome drinks, canapés and networking.
18:15: a short tour of Hotel Café Royal.
18:30: panel discussion and audience questions.
19:45: bowl food, drinks and networking.
21:00: close.

The hotel’s Gallery space is available for attendees who would like somewhere to work before the event.
