Black Before Christian?
Faith and identity are deeply personal, yet often in tension. For many Black Christians, that tension raises difficult questions. Does our Blackness come first, or does faith call us to transcend race altogether? Can Christianity and Black identity truly coexist without one being erased by the other?
Join us for Black Before Christian, a live conversation exploring how race and faith intersect. We’ll discuss the rise of movements like the Hebrew Israelites, what they may have right about faith and heritage, and how history, culture, and theology shape how we see ourselves.
This is not a sermon or a lecture. It’s an honest, challenging discussion about identity, belonging, and truth. Expect deep insight, respectful disagreement, and moments of shared discovery as our panellists explore what it means to be both unapologetically Black and faithfully Christian in today’s world.
This will be a live recording/discussion filmed at Common Sense Studios, with room for audience questions and reflections.
Date: Friday, 13 December
