About the workshop
As a founder or leader, you are the person everyone looks to for guidance. You have spent years getting to the top of your game, and you now lead large teams or a whole organisation.
Yet when it comes to public speaking, you feel like a beginner again.
It is a theme we see again and again with the clients we work with. Highly capable, respected leaders who are completely at ease in the boardroom find themselves dreading a panel invitation, rushing through a conference talk or turning down the opportunities that would raise their profile and their organisation's. The expertise is there. The confidence to share it simply has not been built yet.
This full-day workshop is designed to change that. You will spend the morning learning a clear, practical method for planning and delivering talks in a private room at Cheltenham Ladies' College. In the afternoon you will take to the stage of the historic Princess Hall, with a microphone, lights and a real auditorium in front of you. It is the closest you can get to a live event without the pressure of one, and you will practise in a small, supportive group of peers who understand exactly where you are starting from.
Your trainer, Alice Violet, is a senior marketing leader for cyber and technology brands and a regular host and speaker at industry events, from headline stages to VIP rooms. She has appeared at London Olympia, the London Design Centre, CyberFest, UK Cyber Week, techUK and The Podcast Show, and hosts the Cyber Made Human podcast. Alice knows from experience what it takes to walk into a room with confidence, and she brings that practical, honest approach to every session.
Places are limited to 18 so that everyone has time to speak and receive personal feedback.

The day
08:00 to 09:00 Coffee and networking
09:00 to 12:00 The method: personal branding, finding your message, structuring a talk, putting yourself in the ring for talks, communicating complex work clearly, on-stage confidence.
12:00 to 13:00 Lunch break
13:00 to 16:00 On stage in the Princess Hall: delivery, presence, panel and keynote practice, handling questions and practice rounds with personal feedback
16:00 Optional professional headshots
What's included
The day includes refreshments, lunch and all workshop materials.
Optional headshots and speaker photography
You can add a photography package to your day, with a professional headshot and images of you speaking on the Princess Hall stage with both a lapel and a handheld microphone. You will receive edited images ready for LinkedIn, speaker pages, press and your own website. The package is £95 + VAT and must be booked in advance.
Private sessions
