Ask 10 people what PR agencies do and you might get 10 different answers. Every successful business uses PR but that doesn’t mean everyone knows why. But PR is crucial to gaining attention, credibility and maintaining a presence in the market.
This workshop will:
Explain what PR is;
The multiple ways startups benefit from it;
And, when founders should start thinking about PR.
Participants will learn:
How to write in order to get journalists attention;
Red flags to look out for when picking an agency;
And, the realistic expectations startups should have for initial PR campaigns.
All participants will receive take-home cheat sheets to help them implement what they learn immediately.
About the workshop leader:
Michael Held-Hernandez has worked in PR for over a decade on two continents. His experience includes pre-seed startups, unicorns and multi-national industry giants. He helps his clients shape their messaging, build relationships with journalists and secure meaningful coverage. His current clients are tech startups with a focus on AI, sustainability and health.
