*Japanese follows English
A Special Program Connecting Global Startups, Investment Communities, and Business Opportunities
Building on the growing interest and opportunities for exchange generated by Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, this program aims to transform these connections from a one-time opportunity into continuous collaboration.
Through Nakanoshima Qross, we seek to foster an international life science innovation ecosystem and investment community that connects startups, investors, corporations, research institutions, and global innovation hubs.
The program will feature two events. In addition to introducing activities and initiatives by overseas life science clusters, VCs, and CVCs, promising Japanese startups will deliver pitches designed to facilitate new business matching and international collaboration among investors, corporations, and startups.
Who Should Attend
Life science and healthcare startups
VCs, CVCs, investors, and corporate investors
Companies in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics, regenerative medicine, biomanufacturing, and digital health

6:40 PM : Pitch
PurinoScience is a pre-incorporation drug discovery venture developing a new therapeutic approach based on xanthine oxidoreductase (XOR) inhibition and purine salvage. Our core hypothesis is that XOR inhibition can preserve purines for salvage and support the recovery of lost brain and muscle function. We are starting with Down syndrome as a focused human setting in which to test this biology. Our strategy is to first learn from real-world human exposure to existing XOR inhibitors, establish Human Proof of Biology using pathway biomarkers and functional outcomes, and then use those insights to develop a proprietary next-generation XOR inhibitor. While Down syndrome is our first indication, our long-term ambition is to expand this biology into larger areas including neurological disease, muscle disorders, sarcopenia, and age-related functional decline. PurinoScience aims to combine human learning, translational biology, and proprietary chemistry to create differentiated medicines for functional recovery.
Our core technology Stealth RNA Vector (SRV) is an ideal tool for reprogramming human cells with exogenous factors. We plan to launch new SRV vector for generating clinical-grade human iPSC in 2027.
