About Event

A small online session for people whose sentences just… you know.

This is not a public speaking workshop.

The idea isn’t to speak “better” or more “impressively.” The idea is to make speaking feel less like being watched by yourself.

The shape:

  • Arrival and (dis)orientation

  • A short talk from me on fluency, and the gap between thought and speech

  • Low-pressure group discussion around what “good speech” even means to us, and who we’re comparing ourselves to

  • A couple of absurd little speech experiments designed to make speaking feel less performative

  • Optional Discord after-room for ongoing language quests, voice notes, and unfinished utterances

90 minutes-ish. Online. 6–8 people max.

Please bring:

  • any deck of cards

  • an object that came into your possession by accident

  • a book you’ve been meaning to read

  • either a pepper shaker or a plushie animal

Language is unruly.

Drinks, snacks and (domesticated) animals welcome.
