About Event

2026 SD Campus Network Leaders' Summit (Inviting all school teams!)

Come join us at The George Washington University for the 2026 SD Campus Network Leaders' Summit!

We're excited to invite your chapter to send two student leaders and one advisor to the SDCN Summer Leaders' Summit in July 2026 to connect, share ideas, and learn from each other. With a focus on networking and learning skills to bring back to shift campus culture, this summit promises to be an enriching experience for all attendees. Don't miss out on this chance to be a part of a vibrant community of campus leaders learning to build a culture of productive dialogue on campus. See you there!

Who: We recommend sending teams of 3-4 people made up of at least 2 student leaders and at least 1 advisor. This is the most important event for planning how to organize campus dialogue groups each year. Remember: your team should be the people most directly responsible for the direction of dialogue events or clubs on campus this coming year.

Where:

George Washington University

Suggested lodging: We arrange lodging at the Hotel Hive in Washington, DC. Each guest must make their own reservations by using the 2026 group’s: 2026 HOTEL BOOKING LINK or by calling the Hotel directly at (202) 849-8499 using group code SDSLS2740. Be sure to adjust your stay dates as needed. All reservations must be guaranteed and accompanied by a first-night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card.

When:

Friday, July 24, 5:30 pm - Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 1:00 pm Eastern Time.

What:

At the summit, you will...

  • Share how you and your peers communicate, build friendships, and handle disagreements on campus.

  • Experience a small-group dialogue and reflect on what made it work or didn't.

  • Practice using Facilitation Buddy, an SDI free tool with ready-to-run templates for your campus.

  • Plan one specific thing you want to try when you get home

  • Compare notes with peers from other campuses on what's working and what isn't.

How much:

Registration is $235 for each participant and $560 (plus fees) as a package for two student leaders and an advisor before Friday, June 5th. Late registration will increase to $390/attendee and $1,010 for a package on June 6th. The final registration date is July 14th.

Registration closes July 14th (though housing is not guaranteed at this date). Spaces are limited, so register soon.

  • We expect teams to arrive before Friday at 6:30 pm, when the summit begins.

  • The nearest airport is DCA - Reagan National. BWI - Baltimore and IAD - Dulles are also nearby (about an hour train ride).

  • We hope that chapters will organize funding for lodging, travel, and registration, and Friday and Saturday evening meals.

  • For those who have not budgeted for the event's costs, please apply for a partial, task-based scholarship by contacting SDI. We can only accommodate a limited amount of funding for those applying, however, so please make every effort to raise funding through other means.

Lodging information:

Registrants are heavily encouraged to stay at the Hotel Hive, which must be booked separately through our block. Please email info[at]sustaineddialogue.org to request your unique booking link.
