Sound Meditation with Bamboo Flute
One Sound, One Breath
For centuries, wandering monks played the shakuhachi not as music, but as meditation. One breath, one note, one moment.
Join us for a meditation session of stillness and live traditional Honkyoku — the original solo repertoire of the Fuke Zen monestary, played on a bamboo flute cut from a single length of root-end bamboo. No performance, no applause, no expectation. Just sound moving through a room, and the space it leaves behind.
We'll open with a short guided introduction — how to sit, how to listen, what to do with a wandering mind. After that, there's nothing to do. You sit. You listen. The sound does the rest.
