Fall 2026 Youth Development Grant Round | Kickoff Event
Join us for a deep dive into youth development. This panel brings together visionary leaders, including youth leaders, who focus on dismantling barriers and expanding equitable opportunities for historically marginalized young people. To better accommodate youth schedules, we will start this panel at 5:00 PM.

The event opens with remarks by Ericka Cruz Guevarra, Host/Producer, "The Bay" podcast with KQED, who will then moderate a panel of experts at the forefront of youth development.
Meet our Panelists:
Margaret Libby launched MyPath in 2007 in partnership with young people to pioneer financial mobility and capability models for historically excluded youth, earning recognition through multiple national and leadership awards.
Gabriel Ochoa is a rising senior at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, a varsity wrestler, freelance photographer, and P.O.W.E.R. Leader at MyPath.
Patricia “Patty” Barahona is an experienced nonprofit leader with over two decades of social impact expertise who currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Leadership Institute, guiding its statewide vision, $10 million budget, and staff.
Elizabeth Yareli Prado is a Redwood City native and San Jose State University student studying Business Management and Entrepreneurship to take over her family’s painting business, who actively engages in community organizing and housing rights advocacy through the Youth Leadership Institute and Faith in Action.
At this kickoff event, we will officially announce the five grant round finalists.
This gathering is open to current SV2 community members, including Donor Partners, Grantees, and Investees. Friends of SV2, such as peer funders and prospective Donor Partners, are also warmly welcome to attend.
Donor Partners, we encourage you to bring the youth (at least 12 years of age) in your lives who might also be interested in this session.
