EA Connect Watch Party: Friday Session
Join us for a communal watch party of the opening day of EA Connect! While virtual conferences are great, they are much better when you have people to discuss the talks with and a dedicated environment to get your 1-1s done.
This is a drop-in event running from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM—feel free to join for specific talks or stay for the whole block.
☕ Food & Facilities
Food: We will be serving food at 3:00 PM.
Call Booths: We have set up dedicated call booths for you to take your virtual 1-1s in private.
Committee Support: Committee members will be around throughout the afternoon to help you prep for your meetings. We’re also here to help with the "aftermath"—helping you mop up todos, process follow-ups, and consolidate notes so you don't lose momentum.
📅 The Schedule (Screening 12–5 PM)
We will be screening the main stage talks live. Here is the lineup:

1:00 PM: How to get the most out of EA Connect (Charlotte Darnell)
2:00 PM: Building your surface area for serendipity (Kevin Xia)
3:00 PM: Paradigms in AI alignment: components and enablers (Victoria Krakovna)
4:00 PM: The moral status of bugs, bots, and other beings (Jeff Sebo)
📝 How to Prepare
You do not need to prepare to attend. You are welcome to just show up, eat, and watch the talks!
However, to get the most out of the event, we strongly encourage you to:
Log into the conference platform beforehand.
Look through the attendee list.
Book 1-1s with people during this 12:00–5:00 PM window (you can take them in our booths!).
Since EA Connect runs through Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, you can also use this time to scout out interesting talks for the upcoming days and fill your weekend schedule with meetings.
