Democracy Drinks - Edinburgh

​Edinburgh Democracy Drinks is trying out a new venue - Jeremiah's Taproom on Elm Row. More accessible, a private space reserved for us and still a very short walk from the centre of town.

​Democracy Drinks is a regular gathering to make connections, share ideas, and find inspiration over your drink of choice in a relaxed and friendly setting. All welcome!

​Based on feedback, we are going to try having a discussion focus for some of the meet-ups. In October, there will be a chance to hear about the Scottish People's Meeting - a plan to bring a Nordic-style festival of democracy to Scotland in 2027.

​We tend to be a mix of regulars and new folks drawn together by a shared interest in democratic innovation, participation, policy and research. Many of us simply care about everyday democracy and community life in Scotland.
