Investment Readiness Clinic #2: How to Raise β€” Timing, Funding Options & Common Mistakes
πŸ“… 28 October Β· πŸ“ Online

Most fundraising problems start before the first investor meeting. Wrong timing, wrong investors, unclear use of funds. In this session, we'll help you avoid them.

The Investment Readiness Clinic is a practical, recurring coaching program for startups and SMEs preparing to raise external financing. The focus is on business readiness, not technology readiness: building a credible investment case, showing commercial traction, and understanding what investors need to see before they invest.

Across the series, we cover the full path to getting investor-ready, from sharpening your core business case to preparing your data room.

Session #2: How to Raise

We'll start with a quick recap of Session #1: what investment readiness means, how to assess your business readiness level, and the basics investors look for. Then we'll get into how to raise.

1. Timing your round
When to start, how much preparation it takes, runway planning, key milestones, and what the next round should actually enable.

2. Choosing the right funding mix
Public funding, business angels, VCs, corporate VCs, family offices, and strategic investors: what each brings and when each fits.

3. Avoiding common fundraising mistakes
Wrong investor fit, raising too late, unclear use of funds, over-reliance on TAM, and weak or inconsistent materials.

4. Running the process
What a fundraise involves in practice and how to plan it on your calendar. We'll cover building your investor pipeline, outreach, managing meetings and follow-ups, due diligence, and getting to close, without losing focus on running the business.

What you'll leave with
Every company leaves each session with 2–3 concrete actions to improve its investment readiness and move closer to a successful raise.

Who should attend
Founders, co-founders, and leadership team members of startups and SMEs that are preparing for, or considering, external financing. You don't need to have attended Session #1.
