June 20th SF Bay Area Nature Journaling Waitlist

Let’s meet at the wetlands near Fremont! This is an ideal location for painting, drawing and recording in your nature journal. It’s also a great location that can be driven to on the I-880, either if you’re coming up from South Bay or traveling down from East Bay.

​There is a Visitor’s Center and restrooms here, with picnic tables. You can choose to venture out into the marshlands on a mini-hike or check out the Visitor’s Center.  Bring bagged lunch, and a shared item for potluck if you like. We will eat and debrief at the picnic tables in the middle of the day.

​Feel free to stay around to finish drawing after lunch. 

Event Details at a Glance
​​​🕐 Time: June 20, 2026, 10:00 to 2 p.m. - Please plan ahead to account for traffic and parking.

​📍 Location: This will be in Fremont, and the address will be shared once you sign up.

​​🚙 Parking: ​This location may have a variety of parking spots, and if you can does have limited parking is available, or look for parking spots in the local neighborhood. Try to arrive a bit earlier if you are able (around 9:15 to 9:30 so you can locate parking.)

​🧥Comfort: Bring a warm layer just in case, as well as a hat and sunscreen.

​🖊️ What to Bring: A journal or sketchbook, and your preferred tools. You may bring a stool and binoculars if you have them.

​Optional: binoculars for seeing birds or seals, filled water bottle, a lightweight stool or something to sit on

​🧻 Restrooms: Restrooms are available near the Visitor’s Center.

​💰Cost: $10 to $20 is suggested to Wild Wonder, and a Venmo for this will be provided. This will be used to sustain future nature journaling events.
