Wicked Grounds: Practical Magick
If you can state what you want, and draw even a little bit, you can do magick!
Join Miriam BatAsherah Green for this popular interactive workshop on formulating, creating, and charging magickal sigils. During this workshop, you will have the opportunity to create your own sigil, step by step. If you have studied or practiced sex magick, but want more guidance on easy practical applications, this is your class.
This workshop is open to people of any and all levels of magickal experience and all traditions. We aim to develop a magickal dialogue that includes and transcends specific traditions and practices. Past workshops have included Thelemites, chaos magickians, Reclaiming witches, Feris, Faeries, Wiccans, Druids, Buddhists, queer Christians, Church of All Worlds members, OTO folks, Golden Dawn magickians, and more.
PRESENTER:
Miriam BatAsherah Green is a Thelemite, Witch and educator living on the Mendocino coast of northern California.
With an academic background in Jewish studies, Mir has been actively studying Hermetic Qabala for twenty years and Jewish Kabbalah for nearly as long. Mir can read and speak Hebrew at the Hungry Little Caterpillar reading level. Miriam is a proud past member of Scarlet Woman Lodge and Blazing Star Oasis, OTO and is an initiated Reclaiming Witch. In addition to magickal and occult topics, Mir presents kink classes through Wicked Grounds.

LOCATION & ACCESSIBILITY
We host our in-person events at our Clubhouse in the Historic Core of DTLA.
The building is ADA accessible. There is an elevator. Note for people with wheelchairs, canes, other walking assistance devices: the tile of the lobby floor is uneven so be careful navigating, and the bathroom is not ADA compliant.
This is a low-scent event: no perfume, cologne, or essential oils. The Clubhouse is no-shoe space. When you enter, please leave your shoes on the shoe rack by the front door. If you need an exemption, please email [email protected].
PARKING
There are paid lots, garages, and street parking within a block of the loft. We will send out additional information once your RSVP is confirmed.
SAFTEY IN DTLA
Please be mindful of your surroundings when arriving and leaving. Many of us are longtime downtown residents and have never personally had an issue walking around at night, but DTLA is full of interesting characters from all walks of life, especially on weekends. We love our community and ask that you're respectful of everyone you encounter.
COMMUNITY HEALTH & SAFETY
COVID, Cold, and Flu: We recommend all attendees test for COVID before you arrive. No need to send results - we trust you. If you are feeling sick, were recently exposed to someone who is sick, or test positive, we ask that you stay home to help us keep our community safe and healthy and we will credit you for a future event.
We provide face masks and hand sanitizer at the clubhouse. We run air purifiers during and between events. While we take all the precautions we can to be covid safe, this is ultimately an event with risk of infection. If you are higher risk of infection or adverse effects for covid or other illnesses, we encourage you to err on the side of caution.
REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
We do not offer refunds if you cancel or change your reservation. In some cases, we do offer event credits. Contact [email protected] if you:
Need to cancel or change your reservation. Please let us know 48 hours prior to an event, and we will credit you for a future event.
If you are sick, were recently exposed to someone who has covid, or tested positive. Let us know ~2 hours prior to an event start, and we will credit you for a future event.
We offer refunds if we cancel an event for any reason. We'll send out a cancellation email. Attendees who wish to receive a refund for their ticket purchase will need to respond within 7 days of the cancelled event. All other tickets will receive a credit for a future event.
