About Event

​G-Fellows is excited to host Nick Linck, Founder at The Residency


Nick Linck hails from the Midwest, where he developed a strong drive to make a positive impact on society. He studied computer science at the University of Michigan, equipping himself with the technical skills needed to build meaningful solutions for the world. Fueled by a curiosity about the brain, Nick began his career in artificial intelligence research at IBM, diving deep into cutting-edge architectures aimed at advancing intelligence. Today, he is focused on transforming higher education. Nick is the founder of The Residency, an innovative program designed to prepare young people to be adaptable, resourceful, and thoughtful—helping the next generation thrive in a rapidly changing world.

About G-Fellows​​

G-Fellows brings together an exclusive cohort of the most driven undergraduate students from top universities across the country for four weeks from April 10 to May 10. Each G-Fellow sources promising startups, tracks emerging industry trends, and nominates founders to pitch leading investors. G-Fellows are guided by tier-one VC and founder advisors, and get direct access to some of the hottest startups in Silicon Valley through hands-on workshops designed to help them land their dream internship and become truly industry-ready. This is real experience — the network, the reps, and the credibility to walk into any room in venture or tech and belong there. Grace Gong founded G-Fellows — part of Smart Venture Media — alongside Founding Fellow Siya Verma, who has been with the program from day one, to bridge the gap between the most talented students in the country and the venture world they're trying to break into


Featured Fellows

Mary Liu is a sophomore at Wharton studying Finance and AI for Business. She’s from Philadelphia and immigrated to the U.S. from China when she was 8 years old. Last year, she co-founded a startup called Kanosym, which uses advanced mathematical and statistical models to help internal finance teams build more precise budgets. This summer, she’ll be joining Inception Capital as an AI/Web3 researcher. In her free time, she enjoys playing badminton and guitar, and is always looking for good restaurant recommendations.

Eric Li is a sophomore in the Huntsman Program at the University of Pennsylvania, studying Business and International Relations. He immigrated to the U.S. from China at age 3 and has lived in Philadelphia since. He was Head of Growth and Product at Certitude, an EdTech/AI startup he helped get into VIP-X and YC, and has also worked in growth and operations at other startups including AfterQuery and Encord. In parallel, he works as a scout and analyst for several VC firms and investment groups, including WIVA, LvlUp, GoAhead, and Boardy.

Lu Zhang is a junior at UCLA studying Economics with a minor in Digital Humanities.nShe’s particularly interested in how AI shapes human behavior, and how technology can be designed to feel more empathetic and human. She founded a social impact nonprofit that scaled to 12 countries, worked in product at a mental health startup, and most recently joined OpenAI’s ChatGPT Lab and Codex ambassador program. Outside of work, she enjoys spontaneous side quests, coffee, and “touching grass,” and is excited to meet others while learning more about startups and VC.
