About Event

Welcome to Community Village's 3rd Annual Series on “Rest & Renunciation”!

This February (2026), at Sangha Time we’ll embark on a monthlong exploration of these topics in community.

Feb 25th Topic: Renunciation (Pt. 2)

  • How can renunciation open us up to the teachings of the present moment?

  • How can coming up against our edges teaches us what renunciation means?

  • How do we work with our tendencies to block & freeze?

  • Renunciation as saying YES to life!

For complete info on the series & how to get involved, check out our Rest & Renunciation page.

Sangha Time is our weekly meditation & community gathering. A place for connection, inspiration, and practice. We are a cross-lineage, peer-led sangha that is open to all. Whether you’re a longtime community member or just arriving, you are welcome here.

What type of space do we wish to create together?

  • A space for all of us - that welcomes diversity in all its forms

  • A space where we remind each other to practice meditation & nurture the qualities of kindness, wisdom, generosity and love that our society desperately needs more of

  • A space where we can show up as we are, share what’s in our hearts & minds, and listen deeply

  • A space where we can cultivate meaningful friendships to support us on the path

  • A space where we can get inspired to bring the dhamma into our lives. Through formal practice, reflection and our speech and actions every day.

Most importantly, we wish to shape this gathering together by embracing creativity and new ideas

Whether its your first time here, or you come every week, everyone is invited to participate.

What do we do during CV Sangha Time?

The schedule is subject to evolve as we co-create this gathering together. In general, we will have:

  • Meditation - mostly 25m silent sitting meditation

  • Inspiration - sharing reading(s) from wisdom teachers on a weekly topic

  • Sharing & Connection - reflecting and sharing about our own experiences and listening deeply

  • Community Creation Circle - an opportunity to actively contribute & create the community together

  • (optional) Tea & Snacks (8:45-9:15pm) - getting to know each other informally over a warm cup of tea

Suitable for beginners & experienced meditators. Everything at Community Village is 100% donation based, in the spirit of dana, with the intention to be accessible to all. You can donate to Community Village here or learn about other ways of giving dana here.
