Women in AI Safety and Ethics (WISE) London - Autumn Reading Club
For our October event, we will be discussing intimate imagery abuse online, including answering questions like:
Does it look the same for everyone?
How does it target and impact its victims?
What technologies make it worse (or help tackle it)?
The readings for this session are:
Explicit Harms of Non-Explicit Images (Chayn Research Team, September 2026).
Targeted and Ignored: Sexualised Deepfakes of Women MEPs and the Failure of Platform Responses (Agora Digitale Transformation, October 2026)
[Additional video - optional watch!] The Dark Side of AI: How Tech Is Rebuilding Sexism - Laura Bates - Technology Section #29 Edition (Sunday Papers Live, April 2026)
Women and non-binary individuals from all academic and professional backgrounds are welcome to join! :)
