About Event

Disability Peers in Practice, hosted by Chronicle, is a regular roundtable for disability attorneys and their teams. A space to compare notes on what's working, what isn't, and what everyone's quietly wondering but rarely gets to ask out loud.

No presentation. Nothing to buy. Practitioners talking to practitioners about how they actually run their practices.

This month: Client communication in a disability practice — from intake to decision.

Disability cases run one to three years. Clients are anxious, don't understand SSA timelines, and have no visibility into what's happening with their case. The "where is my case?" call is just the most visible symptom of a longer-running challenge.

How do firms set expectations at intake and actually hold them? How do you reach out proactively before clients hear from SSA, or before they find out before you do? What does client communication look like at 50 cases versus 500? We'll compare what firms are actually doing across the full lifecycle, what's working, and where things break down.

Chronicle will share what we're seeing across the network, and we'll open it up for Q&A at the end.

Why Attend:

Conferences happen twice a year, and the listserv keeps things formal. There aren't many spaces in between where disability practitioners can compare notes openly.

Peers in Practice is built for exactly that. Every session is small enough that everyone talks, and candid enough that people share whatever is on their mind.

Who Should Attend:

This event is for attorneys, paralegals, and firm owners who want honest peer conversation.

You'll get the most out of it if you're:

  • Running or managing a disability law practice

  • Managing client relationships across long, uncertain timelines

  • Curious what communication systems, scripts, or portals other firms are using

  • A Chronicle customer who wants to compare notes and ask questions
