Moms In Tha Hood (with Maternity Engagement Action)

​Care is a basic necessity for us all. But Black women are constantly overlooked when it comes to their health during pregnancy.

​It's why we've decided to join forces with Maternity Engagement Action (MEA). During the afternoon, we'll start to unpack some of the inequalities Black mothers face.

​This interactive drop-in workshop invites Black mums, parents, carers and families to imagine a future where Black families in Birmingham are fully supported to thrive.

​We'll start to re-imagine practical ideas for building more welcoming communities, while contributing to a collective artwork.

​This is set to be an insightful afternoon where you'll be able to share, reflect, and contribute to inform future engagement, advocacy and the development of family-friendly community spaces.
