Bay Area Economic Development Alliance July Meetup
Over the past several years, I’ve had the opportunity to work across BIDs, Chambers, city government, and regional organizations, collaborating with incredible people (you!) on projects that support economic growth for diverse Bay Area communities. I am continually impressed by the dedicated efforts, innovative solutions and significant accomplishments in this network. I’m also struck by how rarely we have the chance to connect across cities, sectors, and roles, and so I’ve been thinking how powerful it would be to bring together this diverse group of people across the Bay Area doing meaningful work around economic development.
To help bridge that gap, I’m launching the Bay Area Economic Development Alliance as an intentional and ongoing way to bring together economic development professionals across the region to share ideas, strengthen relationships, and spark collaboration.

A casual (and free) get-together to reconnect, meet others in the network, and start building something that’s useful, energizing, and genuinely collaborative with a small group of folks working on everything from business support and workforce pathways to placemaking, partnerships, and community-driven development. My hope is that this becomes a regular reoccurring meet-up where we can share ideas, swap insights, spark new collaborations and build a more connected community across the many facets of economic development in the Bay.
