Tech + Democracy Meetup π°πͺ Nairobi
βLetβs work together to fix tech and strengthen democracy.
βSparkable, Build Up, and FECoMo are organizing an informal in-person Tech + Democracy meetup in π°πͺ Nairobi on Tuesday, May 12, from 4:30β6:00 PM.
ββThis interactive gathering will bring together people working at the intersections of civil society, human rights, peacebuilding, tech, design, research, and journalism, as well as anybody who just cares about making technology healthier for democracy and society.
βPurpose
βOur Tech + Democracy meetups are about connection, conversation, and action. We believe that if we want technology to bolster democracy and social cohesion, we must come together, hash things out, and build relationships across disciplines and geographies.

βReview (shortened)
β"Massive thanks for hosting such a refreshing, people-first gathering. No panels, just open, honest conversations. The energy in the room was incredible. I had the chance to connect with such lovely people from all walks of life designers, researchers, community organisers, developers and even some brilliant students. It felt like a room full of future-shapers. As someone passionate about tech, equity, and meaningful change, I left inspired, recharged, and full of new ideas."
